Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy listing spotted on Xbox Store

It seems like Square Enix will be bundling the last three Tomb Raider games to be sold as Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy. The trilogy was briefly listed on the Xbox Store but was quickly removed later on. Luckily for me, NeoRaider on Resetera did the necessary digging to excavate the listing.

The Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy will consist of Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018). In contrast to the classic Tomb Raider games, these three games serve as a reboot of the franchise, presenting the player with a younger and relatively inexperienced Lara Croft. Throughout the trilogy, we’re able to see Lara turn into the methodical archeologist/treasure hunter/gunslinger that we now know her to be.

Unfortunately, the link to the page no longer seems to work anymore, leading to a seriously disappointing error message. The silver lining to it all is a release date, which got noticed before Microsoft took the page down. If the rumors are true, we should be able to get our hands on Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy on March 18.

If you are totally into this origin story of young Lara becoming a total manslayer, it might be worth your while to check out the latest Tomb Raider movie, starring Alicia Vikander. Personally, I wasn’t a big fan of her portrayal, and that had nothing to do with Angelina Jolie and her curvature, taking on the role of Lara in the past. It just didn’t hit the mark with me. Then again, you might like it, so it might be worth giving it a shot. Watch the trailer below and see for yourself.
