Super Pollo yeets Among Us chicken nugget into space

Chicken nuggets, the cornerstone of every nutritious dinner. Entire population groups drone out to McDonald’s to get their greasy hands on them. And who can blame those people? Chicken nuggets are great fun when you’re out with some hammered friends and in for a fast-food Rorschach test. Just keep in mind, there are Among Us-shaped nuggets out there, and the Chilean company Super Pollo made one nugget famous by yeeting it into space. Totally not sus.

Technically, the Among Us chicken nugget didn’t actually make it into deep space, but it got far enough. Strapped to a balloon, the sus nugget almost reached an altitude of 33 kilometers before it came tumbling down. Let’s see, 33 kilometers in 41 minutes. That’s almost 30 miles per hour. Speaking of fast food…

Isn’t this the stupidest thing you’ve ever seen? If your answer is ‘yes!’, think again. By sending a piece of breaded poultry sky-high, Super Pollo has already attracted the attention of 266,000 viewers. Let that sink in. A quarter of a million people have been watching a snack go to the stratosphere.

What’s next? Catapulting a potato towards the James Webb Space Telescope and promoting it as No Man’s Fry. Strapping a piece of toast to a rocket as part of a Bread Space remake campaign? I wouldn’t be surprised anymore if anyone would attempt to do one of those things…
