Star Wars Jedi 2 won’t serve The Old Republic, new-gen only

The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order seeks to disrupt the console force. According to reporter Jeff Grubb, EA chooses to abandon The Old Republic of Consoles and serve only the New Generation. And if you are a big fan of the Fallen Order name, I’ve got more ‘disturbing’ news coming your way.

You guessed it. Allegedly, the name Fallen Order has ‘fallen’ as well. But that doesn’t have the same gravitas as the new-gen only announcement. As claimed during his premium Giant Bomb show Grubbsnax, Grubb went on to disappoint every Star Warsian owning a PS4 or Xbox One.

“Star Wars Jedi 2 is going to be new-gen only, where it’s PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and then of course PC.

“One of the reasons that they’re going to be able to do that is because it’s not coming out until 2023. This game is for sure now not coming out until 2023.”

Wait… WHAT?! It ain’t even coming in 2022? Ah man… that sucks harder than having a proton torpedo shot in your thermal exhaust port. Unless that’s your kink. I won’t judge. Anywho… seems like a legit claim. A claim that blows, but also one that brings us New Hope.

How so? Well, no restraints. That’s how. If Respawn gets the all-clear to develop for new-gen tech only, it won’t have to cut corners to make it work on last-gen tech too. I mean, imagine the endless possibilities. No holding back. Unlimited power…

Oh well, I guess we’ll see more during EA’s Play Live event *This is not the event you’re looking for*
