Ubisoft leaks are being delayed, no pre-E3 showcase this year

Sad news for all the Ubi fans who were hoping to see some pre-E3 leaks anytime soon. According to Axios, the French publisher Ubisoft has decided to ditch any E3-related plans and not host a showcase. I know, you were looking forward to it because they’re been hosting Ubisoft Forward every June since the COVID-shitstorm hit. But hey, not my choice, guys, There’s no reason for me to sugarcoat it. Je suis désolée.

And so, Ubisoft follows in the footsteps of the mighty EA, who decided to abandon E3 earlier this year. And who can blame them? I mean, even E3 has abandoned E3 for the time being. The fact that the Summer Game Fest – this year’s “but we gotta do something, right?” E3 filler – is taking place, doesn’t mean shit to these software giants. Both EA and Ubisoft will bring something to the showcase table when there’s something to present.

But Ubisoft, you have plenty to present. I mean, Skull & Bones is fi-nal-ly on its way. You’re so effin’ ambitious with Beyond Good & Evil 2. Show us, man! And what about Assassin’s Creed? You can’t enter the summer season without getting people hyped for yet another Assassin’s Creed. Oh… and what about Splinter Cell? And Prince of Persia? Really, you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into, Yves. You’re missing golden opportunities to shine as you did at some point.

Anywho, suit yourself. We’ll see the leaks eventually, I guess.
