Skull & Bones hoists the main sail this November

After tons of delays and even more rumors, Ubisoft has finally revealed when Skull & Bones leaves port. November 8, nearly four years after its original release date, Ubisoft’s pirate sim will head to the open seas on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 PC, Stadia, and Luna.

Players will have two editions to choose from, depending on the amount of plunder one desires. The Standard Edition is very… standard, I guess. But those who do not want to be known as a scallywag can go for the Premium Edition. It’ll set you back some additional doubloons, let there be no misunderstanding. But in exchange, Ubisoft shall bestow upon you the ‘Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection’, two missions, a digital soundtrack, and more. He who pre-orders shall receive access to the High Sea Pack. In it, one may find Notoriety Garb and a Coronation Firework. Aaargh!

But before we enter the briny deep, Captain Ubi wishes to test your sea legs with some live tests. Those deemed worthy can register now on the game’s official website. But pirates beware, Skull & Bones is not for the faint of heart, nor does it cater to easy cruisers. It’ll flog you, test your limits, and separate the buccaneers from the landlubbers. Watch the gameplay video below to get an idea of the action, described by Ubisoft as:

“Enter the perilous paradise of Skull and Bones, inspired by the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of Piracy, as you overcome the odds and rise from an outcast to an infamous pirate.

“Craft a variety of unique ships to survive, thrive, and rule in an immersive world that introduces new challenges and features every season.”

Soon, me hearties, soon we shall salute the Jolly Roger and take what is unrightfully ours. The open seas await! November 8, 2022, we shall pillage and plunder. For all shall remember; No Prey, No Pay.
