Murphy’s law rules in RoboCop: Rogue City, coming June 2023

RoboCop – one of the first men ever to legally identify as a piece of shiny steel after types like Terminator paved the way – is getting ready to serve and protect in 2023. As shown in Nacon’s showcase, the titular protagonist really won’t care in what state he’ll take you in. As long as you – the player – will comply, Peter Weller won’t give you a hard time in RoboCop: Rogue City.

That’s right. Peter Weller – the actor responsible for fleshing out the walking toaster called Alex James Murphy – has been attracted to reprise his role as RoboCop. As outdated as this tin can might be today, nobody can deny the influence Paul Verhoeven’s cult classic. Because if there’s one thing Detroit could use today, it would definitely be a dude like RoboCop. Outdated or not.

But hey, we gotta make do with a game instead and that’s fine by me. Restoring order in a city that won’t play by the rules… sign me up. I’ll gladly be your solution, even if it’s only virtual. What’s that gonna look like? Something like this.

So, whaddya think? The characters might appear to move stiffer than a rusted-up android, but it’s a start. Heck, I might even go as far as saying that RoboCop: Rogue City looks mighty promising. Or – to keep it RoboCop-themed – I’d say: “I’d buy that for a dollar!”

As for now, you can keep that dollar tucked away nicely since Rogue City is far from ready to be published. The APB won’t make it out until June 2023.

RoboCop: Rogue City will serve the public trust, protect the innocent, and uphold the law on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch
