LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is bricked indefinitely

The Force is not strong with the fans of LEGO Star Wars. The latest addition to the franchise – LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – is not making its release in 2021. Originally slated for a launch this Spring, the brick building game is now delayed indefinitely by developer TT Games. Another delayed game. Disappointed, I am.

According to TT Games, the team needs more time to put the studs on the i’s. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a massive undertaking and the biggest LEGO Star Wars game to date. Almost 500 LEGOfied Star Wars characters will be present in the game, to give you some sense of scale. TT games will use the extra time to make sure everything meets the player’s standards.

When LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launches, players can start the game at any given point in the timeline. If you’re hardcore, you’re free to begin your quest from the start. Don’t really care much about the old Star Wars stuff? No worries, you can always skip it and jump right to that glorious final Trilogy. You know, the trilogy real Star Wars fans rather not talk about.

You might be thinking “Why is this taking so long? Didn’t they already make a shit ton of LEGO Star Wars games that they can just rehash?”. Yes, you’re right and of course they could, but they aren’t. The whole game will be brand-new, so you won’t have to worry about replaying old LEGO Star Wars material.
