Kao the Kangaroo – Crash Bandicoot from Wish – gets a sequel

Would you like to play the latest Crash Bandicoot but are you low on funds? Try a knock-off version of it instead. At least, that’s what it looks like to me. Apparently, Kao the Kangaroo is a legit game. Legit enough to get a sequel. I mean, look at it. This is basically Crash Bandicoot from Wish.

Okay, honestly… Kao the Kangaroo is actually a thing… since 2000. Developed by the Polish dev Tate Multimedia, Kao the Kangaroo tells the story of Kao the Kangaroo. Wow. And because it has been nearly 9 years since this marsupial bounced off of your CRT screen, Tate decided to bring him to all major current-gen platforms. They even got a trailer for it. Check it out.

C’mon man. Let’s be honest here. Doesn’t this give you a huge “Hey, Toys For Bob, can I copy your homework” vibe? Even the scenery feels like one gigantic copy/paste move. Not that it’s a bad thing though. If it can replicate the awesomeness that is “Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time”, I’m one happy gamer.

When will we know? This summer, according to Tate Multimedia. Kao will knock your block off on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
