Sold American! Fall Guys dev now owned by Epic Games

Last updated:

Mediatonic – the London-based developer who’s responsible for enriching our lives with the stupid-ass jellybeans game Fall Guys – is no longer ‘independent’. The ever so controversial Epic Games probably coughed up a stack of Benjamins to get the deal going. Or British Pounds. Whatever...

With the deal being final, Epic Games’ Battle Royale portfolio got a tiny bit bigger. In case you never heard of Fall Guys, welcome back to the planet Earth, where people enjoy playing around with moronic jellybeans in stupid costumes. And who can blame them? It’s snazzy, jazzy, and so colorful that it’ll make your fillings pop out instantaneously. Retarded as those jellybeans may be, the concept of this whacky game is a ton of fun. Watch the trailer below to get the gist of this unique Battle Royale game.

For the loyal fan base, nothing will really change. Fall Guys will still be available on Steam and the PlayStation Store. The current plans of bringing Fall Guys to Nintendo Switch and Xbox are also still on the table. The only real change might be noticeable in the future. Mediatonic has got some ideas surging in their noggins and some of them have to do with Rocket League and Fortnite features. Things like cross-play, squad versus squad modes, and whatnot.

As for Epic Games, they seem delighted to add Mediatonic and Fall Guys to their roster. Let’s just hope that the Fortnite dances stay in Fortnite because the video shared on Twitter is pure nightmare fuel…
