Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting its minimap fixed, sort of…

Ah, Cyberpunk 2077. It’s the game that should have been a groundbreaker, a revolutionary step into the future of gaming. Instead, it got scrutinized from all sides. Horrible performance (on the PS4 and Xbox One), content cuts, and more bugs than a square foot of garden soil… it was all there. But a lot has changed since then. CD Projekt RED has been diligently trying to redeem itself by updating the futuristic shooter. They even consider the game’s performance to be ‘satisfying across the board’ now. But that minimap though. That’s still a major gripe to some. Well, not for long, because patch 1.3 is on its way to fix it, sort of...

To paint you a picture, this is what people have been complaining about. A minimap is usually designed to help you navigate through a vast open world. When things get feisty and frantic, a minimap should help you get your bearings even faster by giving you a better oversight. And that’s where Cyberpunk 2077’s minimap sucked because it obviously didn’t help you at all.

But that’s about to change. Patch 1.3 is about to be released and one of its key features is a tweaked minimap. As shown in a video posted in the official patch notes, the minimap will now zoom out slightly when needed. This should make your Night City trips somewhat easier to understand.

But this is not the only improvement that patch 1.3 will bring. Actually, there’s quite a bit of tinkering that has been done to make your stay in Night City more enjoyable, including some DLC. CD Projekt RED is inviting you to see for yourself by tuning in on their Twitch channel today. So if you’re interested in things to come, have a look there.
