Call of Duty: Vanguard story trailer hits all the ‘reich’ buttons

The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard is approaching swiftly, which means the propaganda machine is put into high gear. The most effective way to convince people to consider buying your game is to show off the Hollywood-like story behind your digital bloodsport. In other words, the Call of Duty: Vanguard story trailer has been launched, and it’s bombastic, to say the least.

Should that come as a surprise? Absolutely not. Those familiar with Call of Duty know that Activision seldom shies away from some ostentatious eye-candy. The Call of Duty: Vanguard story trailer forms no exception. In a little under two-and-a-half minutes, the premise behind the game’s single-player campaign is presented, showing us what we’re going to be fighting for.

In case you don’t feel like watching a trailer, this is how Activision describes the plot:

“Players will witness the origins of Special Forces as they change the face of history, forming Task Force One in a sprawling World War II narrative campaign spanning the Eastern and Western fronts of Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa,”

So, does this satisfy your Call of Duty: Vanguard needs for now? If not, Twitter-user Alaix COD might have some data-mined info you’d like to explore. I don’t want to spoil anything right here, but there’s a lot of info to be found there. Stuff like achievements, campaign subtitles, and campaign levels. So have a look here if you feel like it. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.

P.S.: If you haven’t seen the gameplay footage yet, I’ve got you covered, comrad. That video is waiting for you right here.
