Little Nightmares can be yours for free this weekend

No no, you don’t have to pinch yourself. This is not a dream. Little Nightmares – Tarsier Studios’ slightly twisted platformer – can be yours without even paying a dime for it. The only thing you need to do to claim the game is making sure you have a Steam account. And a PC that can run it, obviously.

Little Nightmares tells the tale of a hooded persona called Six, who’s stuck in a prison called The Maw. Like most prisons, The Maw isn’t exactly the jolliest of places to reside in. Getting your skimpy ass out of it seems to be the priority for a better QOL, and that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do in Little Nightmares. Unfortunately for Six, she isn’t alone in The Maw, and the other residents aren’t the nicest of folk either. Watch the trailer below and you’ll see what I mean.

But anyways, a game can’t really be disappointing when you can get your hands on it for free, right? Even if so, plenty of paying gamers have had loads of fun with Tarsier’s game, giving it an overall “very positive” rating on Steam. So honestly, I can’t really find a reason why you shouldn’t add Little Nightmares to your library unless you’re too chicken shit… So are you?

Got you interested? Good. You have until the 30th of May to snatch the game from Steam. After that, you’ll have to fork up twenty smackeroonies again, which still isn’t a bad deal. Then again, free sure has a nice ring to it if you ask me.

In case you need another fix after playing with Six, Little Nightmares also has a sequel with the surprising title Little Nightmares 2. You won’t be handling Six anymore, but a tiny dude called Mono. Six is still in it though, so keep your yellow rain suit on. If you feel like reading more about this sequel, try giving the review on RetroGamePapa a go. It’s in Dutch, but that’s nothing Google Translate can’t fix for you. There’s even a review of Six’s mobile adventure on it too, might you be interested.
