Killer Klowns from Outer Space are coming, no joke

Remember the ’80s and ’90s when clowns were super popular and no matter how you looked at them, you were forced to like them? I mean, honestly… even if they weren’t funny at all, you had to, according to society. That “Look at the pretty flower” gag and then squirting me in the face with it… it forever ruined squirting for me. Me, I was more a fan of the extra-terrestrial clownage type. At least they knew how to properly entertain. Like Pennywise. Or – to get to my point – the Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Now, they might not have acquired the same level of renown, but the Killer Klowns from Outer Space were a thing in 1988. These alien jokesters were messing up the movie industry while some of you were probably still swimming laps in your daddy’s nutsack. Therefore, I’ll pardon you if you’ve never heard of them before. But you know who did? Teravision Games and Good Shepherd.

But what’s a publisher to do when half of your demographic probably can’t even recall the Killer Klowns from Outer Space, let alone get enthusiastic about it? Well, have Geoff Keighley come on stage and break it to the audience. At least you’ll have one guy who’s probably stoked about it. But hey, it might just be the best thing since the abolishment of real clowns. So let’s take a look at that trailer again.

Alright, I’m not gonna lie. I’m not dismissing it completely just yet. If history has taught us anything it’s that first looks can be deceiving. And since plenty of people are up for asymmetric multiplayer games nowadays, Killer Klowns from Outer Space might work. I guess I’m going to find out when I get my hands-on during Gamescom.

[UPDATE] JK, didn’t play it in the end. Long story. TL;DR material. Trust me. Anywho, the game’s Steam page is up in case you wanna wishlist it.
