Professional grouch Jeff Ross finds solace at Crystal Dynamics

Jeff Ross – not the Roast Master General but the former Days Gone director – has found a new residence. The professional grouch managed to reserve a seat at Crystal Dynamics’ table as design director. This allows him to finally forget about the “days gone”…

And honestly, his timing couldn’t be better. The Seattle-based developer is picking up steam to begin production of a brand-new Tomb Raider game. While Jeff is keeping his lips sealed and won’t spoil anything about his new project, Tomb Raider GM Dallas Dickinson isn’t that secretive. He already gave away that the new Tomb Raider is coming, running on the Unreal 5 engine. Anyway, it’s nice to see that Jeff can be happy if he chooses to be. It’s been a while since we last saw him smiling.

Great stuff. Let’s just hope that everything will work out fine and dandy in Seattle. And if you’re up for it, you can work at Crystal Dynamics, too. Imagine having lunch with Jeff every day, sippin’ on Starbucks and chippin’ away on a PB&J. You could have small talk about the days gone…

On second thought, dismiss that last part. It makes Jeff a little agitated. And remember, don’t forget to buy the new Tomb Raider when it launches. We wouldn’t want anyone to get the blame again and get slammed online by Jeff.
