Hogwarts Legacy hit by an Expecto Postponum spell

Bad news for all you spellcasting muggles out there, Hogwarts Legacy has been hit by a delay. Even though Portkey can’t wait to welcome you to their prestigious academy of wizardry, last-minute touches need to be made to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And that takes time, even if that might come as a disappointment. Because hey, the Portkey devs ain’t wizards, you know.

So, instead of a once disputed but later reiterated holiday 2022 release, Hogwarts Legacy will now open its doors on February 10, 2023. Aspiring Nintendo Switch spellcasters will have to be patient a little longer for a release date. That will get disclosed in the near future.

While it’s great to finally have a set date – which means jack shit nowadays – there’s still no news on the rumored Collector’s Edition. Some claim that it’s quite something, content-wise and price-wise. If the stories are true, it’ll come with a book and a floating wand, which is kinda neat. The estimated $400 price tag… not so. But hey, that’s just my humble opinion. Value is often in the eye of the beholder.

Anywho, unfortunate as it may be, I’ll gladly wait for Portkey to perfect Hogwarts Legacy. If they need more time to work out the Quidditch implementation… fine by me. Oh, wait…
