EA Sports F1 22 takes pole position on July 1

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s almost time to start your engines and make your way to the starting grid. EA Sports F1 22 is about to get ready for its formation lap. On July 1, 2022, it’s lights out for the annual Formula 1 racing franchise.

As with every new installment, F1 promises to leave the pits fully updated to achieve the highest performance. With groundbreaking visual fidelity and maximum immersion, F1 22 targets to be the wet dream of any virtual racing car driver. Feel that porpoising as your Merc struggles to keep up and watch those Aston Martins go up in flames. Even on the brand new International Autodrome during the Miami Grand Prix.

To make the game as pleasant as possible for every type of driver, Codemasters worked harder than the HAAS mechanics after Schumi’s crash at Jedda to make that happen. Players can select either ‘Immersive’ or ‘Broadcast’ options that affect vital elements like formation laps, safety cars, and pitstops. While ‘Immersive’ lets you experience everything first-hand, ‘Broadcast’ will fill those key moments with cinematics.

Speaking of every type of driver, F1 22 also comes with Adaptive A.I., which does exactly what it says. It adapts. Survives. Overcomes. No seriously. If you’re a true Mazepin (or Latifi, IDK) you might get frustrated getting lapped 5 minutes in. Adaptive A.I. will urge the others to not “push, Checo… push”, but rather go easy on you. Unless you choose to drive for Williams. If you choose Williams, you’re basically asking to get your ass handed over.

And last but not least, you’ll be able to experience all of it in VR if you have the PC setup for it. Slap on that HTC Vive or Oculus Rift and go for that checkered flag as if you’re really there. Add some rubber bands to your headrest and strap ’em around your headset to get that full 50G experience as you get shunted. Just make sure you have your gloves and steering wheel ready, and don’t forget to check your drink system.

Are you ready for this? Do you want to Drive To Survive? You’ll be on Netflix’s radar starting July 1, 2022. Get ready to become the next F1 sensation on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
